Route Scouting

In general, an API involves multiple process routes. The process routes will not only effect the possibility of industrial manufacturing of the product, but also pose an impact on material cost, product quality and even the environment. BOC Sciences is capable of analyzing the feasibility of synthesis routes and the source of synthetic raw materials. Moreover, we can check if such routes are involved in intellectual property issues by analyzing the synthetic equipment and costs.

Our Services

To make it easier and better for researchers, BOC Sciences provides route scouting service in a competitive fashion. We have provided a more efficient way to increase the number of new drugs, greatly shorten the R&D cycle, and reduce the development costs. Our experienced chemists are able to establish innovative routes of synthesis (ROS) from an idea to a sustainable process, and our teams are also able to evaluate existing routes and related steps for scale-up, cost, safety, and quality control requirements using parallel reaction equipment and high-throughput screening platforms.

  • At the early stage of process route design, BOC Sciences team has taken safety, efficiency, purity, cost, ease of route scale-up, security of raw material supply, and impact on environmental into consideration. We are capable of identifying and delivering optimal routes as soon as possible to avoid the time, cost, and filing risks associated with switching routes in mid- to late-stage development
  • Establish a comprehensive set of criteria, including the potential chemical challenges, cost and availability of key raw materials and reagents, operation feasibility/ease of scale-up, HSE assessment, IP status and sustainable costing
  • Route exploration is typically 2-3 steps/week
  • Our process chemists have LC-MS, GC-MS, and NMR capabilities to enable rapid route designing for subsequent process development
  • Application of innovative techniques for quick feasibility impact studies of recalcitrant chemical steps
  • Safety handle of hazardous chemicals and production capabilities to assist in route development and advance drug development

Fast Delivery

Combined with accumulated chemistry capabilities and availability of diverse synthetic routes design, our motivated and experienced expert teams enable to design innovative routes with high efficiency

Optimal Route Scouting

Aiming to control the risk of changing route in late development, and secure a reliable supply throughout the whole development lifecycle, BOC Sciences takes safety, efficiency, purity, cost, ease of scale-up, security of raw material supply, and impact on environment into consideration, and aim to design an optimal, fit-to-purpose route for customers' projects
